About David Fefferman

As PayPal’s Senior Product Manager of Send & Request Money, I work with a ridiculously talented team of designers, engineers, and product peers to build delightful ways for friends, families, and businesses to transfer money. Ownership across web and mobile brings with it exciting challenges and I’m proud to breath new life into these products. We recently launched our completely new, mobile-optimized web experience and we’re working towards some great new features – so keep a look out.

As an entrepreneur, I’ve learned the true meaning of  “wearing many hats.” Fundraising, feature development and triaging, sales, accounting, and leadership skills were all honed on the startup battlefield. Through the cofounding of GrubUp Inc. and CloudChow, I led development of iOS, Android, Windows 8, and web applications using HTML5, CSS3, Javascript, .NET, Sencha Touch and PhoneGap technologies. Pivoting from in-stadium concession ordering to the restaurant space, we hit on a whitelabel solution that allowed restaurants to build completely custom, branded, cross-platform mobile applications within 10 minutes.

As a designer, I sweat the details, building interfaces with a strong sense of brand identity and small, humanizing touches. A picture is worth a thousand words, and I have many pictures you can look through here.

As the #1 employee at iOVA Communications, a technology and marketing company, I spec’d and budgeted projects, wrote user stories, built design comps, managed development, applied search-engine-friendly best practices, established successful paid advertising campaigns, tracked successes and failures, and consulted on online marketing. -It was a pretty holistic approach for online businesses, often taking clients from ideation to successful launch at a very rapid clip.
